Articles are chosen to represent dozens of topics, regions and time periods so as to provide content for a diverse range of interests. Every article in our catalog has been reviewed and edited multiple times by our reading and content experts using the following stringent criteria:

While our system is not designed to teach the mechanics of reading (e.g. phonics, basic vocabulary), our read-aloud tools provide targeted opportunities to assist the reader with unfamiliar words and passages.

Parent/teacher student progress reports

Parents and teachers have access to reports on reader activity under their account. These reports cover everything from high-level progress and participation reports, to detailed views on the articles and activities exactly as the reader saw them.

Who We Are

Our teachers have over 75 years combined experience in classroom and one-on-one instruction.
Our subject-matter experts have formal training and experience in areas including history, mathematics, science, music, cognitive science, journalism, education and library science.
Our system architect has over 20 years experience designing systems for education including high-stakes assessment which have been used throughout school systems in the U.S.
